How do I post a sound to this site.
I have a 30 second recording of my bike with a few noises I need someones opinion of.
I recorded it on my Iphone.

Upload it somewhere and give us the link. Might be easier to record a video of the sounds and youtube it.

Ok I probably recorded it to near the engine.
Am I getting paranoid. There are two distinct noises, (they could have always been there )the first is a higher pitch rattle (probably throttle bodies) and the other is a lower knocking type of noise (does not change if I pull the clutch in by the way)
I have this bike down in Spain and only get to it 3 or 4 times a year.
Anything to worry about. I am about to do a 1500 KM trip.

they all have odd noises, cant say anything stands out to me :nenau
listen to a Guzzi then you will be paranoid :eek ;)

Sounds like a bit from the throttle bodies and maybe the cam chain. Nothing to worry about but a TB balance would smooth it out quite a bit at idle.

Every time I'm abroad on holiday, the big ends of my gs are about to appear though the crankcase.
Surprisingly, they always heal themselves as soon as the bike 'limps' onto british soil, and remain ok until the next journey abroad, when mysteriously, it happens again.

Louise ... I think we have a problem. Listen to that knocking. It cant be anything except the big ends. We will probably end up in a bloody hire car.
Did this not happen last year? ..... and the year before ...and....
No, its different this time. Listen, dya hear that. Its knocking like feck.
Aye Dennis, can we get goin now. The sweats pouring out the bottom of my trousers.
OK then ....

Sounds OK to me, but if you want to check if the throttle butterfly spindles/bushes are worn simply press the throttle pulley with the engine running. If they are worn the engine will be noticeably quieter when you press the pulley. The noise on my RS when the right-hand spindle/bushes were worn was much louder than anything I heard on your bike.
