I've been asked by a number of folk about running a South America trip based on the same model as my Alaska trips i.e I sort the shipping, route etc and everyone pays motels etc as they go. So, after lots of groundwork, I've managed to sort out the logistics for shipping the bikes in and out of Beunos Airies in Argentina in a 40ft container for Winter 2016. I would think January is a good time to be going down there.
To make this viable, I would need a minimum of 10 bikes in the container and I'm thinking that we would need 4 weeks in South America to make it worthwhile going down all the way down there.
I'm formulating a route at the moment with Tierra Del Fuego at the Southern tip being the focus.
It's a great opportunity to get down to this fascinating continent on your own bike so if anyone is interested, let me know and I'll get you on a mailing list.
