My wife and I are looking at a rural move and Scotland has been a big draw, all our holidays have been taken there the last 3 years or so. We have fallen for a cottage about 6 miles East of Girvan and if everything goes as planned we will be in by summer.

It would be good to get to know a few ppl in the area and if there are any regular biker meets / tea stops etc.

Any info is very welcome.

Hi boatman, thanks for the invite. We've toured a fair bit round the area and I can't see myself tiring of the great roads, beautiful scenery and absence of traffic.

Absolutely love the place.:thumb2:flag

Bit of luck there Chris :thumb2

I reckon Boatman is just the fella to knock up nice stainless bits for your bike :thumb2

Don't tell him I said so, mind......... :augie

Al :D

Greetings from Dumfries :flag

Further greetings from Doonhame :flag

Thanks !
Phew, I know the populations a bit thinner up there than down here but I was beginning to worry the only 'Tossers' North of the border was going to be boatman and us. :D

If the move goes through we'll do an open house and post it up here, all are welcome.

Phew, glad you told us that, otherwise we would have been flocking not to see the new house - interesting though that would have been - but the snorkel arrangement on your 1200.
Welcome to Barr, or Dailly, or ....:friday

No, we're desperate to get out before they close the border :D I think we need one of them phrase books they sell foreigners :)

What the heck, if we're going to fit in best to embrace local customs, its all part of the charm....:flag

Well done with the move Guys.....:thumb

It's nae 'Tayblick' but it has lovely forest views. It would be great if you and Maxine fancied a break round the Galloway Forest and we could return your generosity - and dressing gown :D
