Tayabs (which was packed, as usual) is confirmed for 10 at 19:15 on the 17th.

I will need to let them know the final number, a week in advance. Not least as I don’t want to take the piss.

Thanks for the reminder! I'm still in, dogs booked out for an overnight stay. See you in the Samaratan around 6 30 ish if can find it without following an i phone in the dark, waiting for phone to get snatched..

Just seen this .
Count me in but there’s a chance I’ll have to cancel as on standby at work,so I might be given a late standby that day or indeed been sent off to some far flung corner.
But there’s a good chance I’ll be free and can get the Lizzy Line from LHR.

My son is landing in Adelaide on Sunday, in time for the first two days (or, in Australian, the entire test match).
We have tickets for Sydney. As my brother says, we can have a relaxed time as it will all be over by then. :beer:He is going to every test.........probably

Rory is going to Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, with tickets for the first two days of each test. All for less than one day at Lords…..
He has then signed with a rugby club in Byron Bay, with accommodation and a job set up.

Not envious at all.

Particularly as I’m driving him to the airport at 4am tomorrow…

There’s a bit of a plan forming in Chez Toddy!

I am supposed to be in a client meeting until 5.30pm on the 17th, and the client is based near Tottenham Court Road, but the lazy millennials employed by said client want to do it as a virtual meeting so they can work from home. I’m thinking I might press for a get down and dirty face to face encounter!

I could then stumble out of one meeting, all sweaty and confused, and spend the rest of the evening in another meeting drinking fine ale and feasting, whilst still being all sweaty and confused, but at least putting all transportation costs down on expenses ;)

I have mentioned said plan to Mrs T and she has posed a few questions which I am hoping you can help answer:
  • Will I get very drunk
  • Will I get lost and not be able to find the Elizabeth Line home
  • Will I fall asleep on the train and end up in Reading
  • Will I get mugged for my Rolex
  • Will an Islamist attack me with a bladed instrument
  • Will I get off at Maidenhead Station but then fall asleep under a bush in the park opposite
If the answer to any of the above is yes, then she is very happy for me to attend.

claim you never got the memo about virtual, head for nearest pub, do the virtual meeting there, get even more drunk and still claim expenses
