Hi All,

Beamer, Myself, T900 and Gslessgirl are off to Germany in August. We have the first 4 nights of our accomodation booked but wondered will we need to book the rest in advance or can we wing it?:bounce1

We're going to be leaving Cologne/Bonn on the morning of 3rd August heading south, towards Baden Baden, hoping to spend 3 nights in one place and then heading east towards Garmisch or maybe beyond for 3 nights. Then heading south west maybe taking in a little of Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland for 3 nights then heading home.

Has anyone any recommendations for accomodation or must sees?
I've sent an email to Pension Williams to see if they have availability:thumb

Thanks a mil:aidan

If you go south west from Baden Baden you'll cross the Rhine at Strasbourg and into the Vosges Mountains in France. Not a bad decision really as you could check out Mark at http://www.coldebussang.com/en/frame-presentation.htm

Winging it in Germany/Austria is easy. In towns the tourist offices are very helpful and on the country roads just look for the Zimmer Frei signs.

I just posted a link for a cracking bnb in Berchtesgaden in "Accomodation". Berchtesgaden is deffo a Must Visit. The Eagles Nest aside (which is well worth a visit), there are lots of other attractions and great roads amidst spectacular scenery :thumb2
