South London motoraad

OK so its nothing to do with the 'brand' and everything to do with setting out your stall like Easyjet and Ryanair and it sucks, what's wrong with listing the shelf price inclusive of all charges and let the punter haggle for a cash deal :nenau

Yet, if I understand you correctly, we see lots of complaints on UKGSer that Easyjet and Ryanair are rip-off merchants with their hidden costs.

Surely, the shop did set out its stall, telling the customer there was a surcharge for a credit card purchase but, I assume, no similar surcharge for a debit card or cash purchase? There was no suggestion that the shop would not have bargained (or simply maintained the ticket price) for a cash deal, or did I miss something?

Still, it matters little, as SLM have cleared the matter up rtaher nicely.....

......but don't let that stop anoyone ranting in future :D

sounds a bit like our MPs, do what ever you can to make money until you get caught out then say sorry and thats okay !!!!!!!!

What are you confusing me for someone who gives a shite? Nah I'm the kid in the playground who hear's fight, fight, fight and weighs in :D

Good news that SLM have reviewed their policy, DaveGS is a neighbour so if he's happy so am I :thumb

Top marks SLM

Well, sent a spy in to see and low and behold the credit card notice has gone!. So it's true the power of the pen (or keyboard ) is mightier than the sword!!.
Dave gs.( bad mistake as saw a couple of must have bikes and have strange cravings for a 1200 adventure, cold bath in order I think,
so their getting their revenge!).

On a recent visit to this dealer I was somewhat supprised by the note displayed at the spares counter that any sale paid for by credit card over £500 would be subject to a 2% surcharge!. This would seem to be a complete rip off as it is not difficult to make up a purchase of this amount is
this the latest charge by BMW?.

Before we all get too carried away with praising SLM for removing the above 2% credit card fee...

...introducing it in the first place does reflect a high degree of retail naievity !!!

(plus they charge for their coffee)
