At the moment I'm in. Passed the South Pole Inn a few times while on holiday in Kerry last year. I must say I still prefer the whole "South Pole to North Pole in a Day" idea. Quite happy to go North to South but like the idea of one day.

what about 2 starts - one North and one South - meet in Claremorris for lunch - the Clay Cafe seems fun.
Could use the Friday trip to the start and the homeward return on Sunday after a overnight stop to do some of the Photo Rally pics - GerryC please take note.

Id be on for a South Pole start also. Maybe both groups meet on the friday night in ballyvaughan

I have a challenge for ya!!!

Ride from the South Pole to the North Pole. It can be done in one day!!!

Like the "South Pole" pub in Kerry, there is a "North Pole" pub in Donegal!!
Its in a place called Dumfries/Dunfries in Inishowen, north Donegal.

My idea would be the following:
I have a wee house in Malin Head, about 20 miles north of the North Pole.
My brother has a bigger house across the road from mine, but has no furniture, so we can meet up there on the Friday night, and indoor camp between the two houses.
...................
On Saturday, ride to the NP for the official start, with a few photos. The question then is, would we want to do the run in one or two days? I would favour 2,
