South West rides - coffee stop :-)

Rick, Mondays are good for me......I'll drop you a PM with my address and phone no.

Tommo......you have a PM (by the way your Avatar looks a bit empty imho;-)

EDIT:
Rick, I can't PM you?! (you've elected not to receive personal Messages?)

Andy,

Wasn't aware of this. Have looked at my profile and can't see where you select to recieve PMs. Is it because I'm not a site sponsor?

Keep it real

Hi, I had a similar kind of injury to yours on 1st March this year.

Bit of an upfront and personal bit of interfacing with the business end of a Ford Focus which took most of my lower right leg off. 86 year old. Didn't see me blah blah blah. Lots of nails and muscle grafting have made it look a bit more normal now. Whilst I'm still up and moving around, I'm still looking at another possible 6 months on crutches until all of the bones have unified etc.

It's real depressing for sure but you'll get there mate.

I'm back at work now and being positive is the only way to go forwards fella.

I'm a salesman at North Oxford Motorrad. It's difficult talking bikes all day when you can't ride so I know what you're going through.

Chin up. drop by our dealership sometime and have a coffee when you're back on two wheels ( or maybe one! ) :)

It'd be good to talk war stories :beerjug:

86 year olds on the road.........scary out there! Glad you're on the mend keeping my fingers crossed for 3 weeks time when I have the next CT Scan. Looked promising last time so really, really, really hoping I'll get a :thumb for the frame to come off.
12 months since the crash tomorrow :(

Will certainly look you up...........any chance you can do me a deal on a Zumo for around £200 as we're fellow crash veterans?! LOL

I'm sure I can do something for you Andy.

Give me a shout when you're up and about again and we'll take it from there!

Fingers crossed for your CT scan.

Alex :aidan

..........and I was just kidding :) ...........appreciated :thumb

Just realised that I can contact you through the forum as you're not a Site Sponsor - what's your email address? Thanks

Andy

I've been meaning to have a ride up to see you, but this time of year just gets so busy.
I work a 4 day week. Are you about on Mondays?

Great to meet you today Rick........especially appreciate the visit in view of the crap weather! :) Hope you wern't too damp by the time you got home.
I'll have to pop down your way as soon as I'm mobile again...I love the run down to Poole from here.

Feel bad...........sat round chatting and I didn't even offer you a bite to eat......Sue has already given me a good telling off. You can see I'm loosing my social skills after being so reliant on swmbo

See ya soon :beerjug:

Roll up roll up...............

You won't have much longer to get a look at my bio-mechano leg for much longer, with a bit of luck it looks like I'll be shot of the damned frame within the next 4 weeks or so.

Hi Andy

Could always do with a trip down to see the mud just as long as you promise not to show me your scar :barf

If you want I can lend you a couple of bike DVD's and if you're partial to a good read I've plenty of bike travel books.

e-mail me at [email protected]

Get well soon

Steve

ps

Jaffa cakes for me (and only McVities please)

Great to meet you Steve, enjoyed our chat and look forward to riding with you before too long!!
Cheers
Andy

........not a bad guess as it happens, booked in for surgery on 23rd Aug :D

I assume this means the frame is coming off on the 23rd... if so, that's great news! :clap

Good luck and let us know it how goes. :thumb2

Cheers
