The only ones that may survive are the 'big' city dealerships.
True to say that the overheads on running a franchise must be horrendous if people only bother to visit on a Saturday for coffee and a chat.
Who changes their old bike gear each year for the new fashion look.
When was the last time you bought something from a dealer besides a motorcycle rather than through the internet or a mate in the US?
Not so sure about this. There is still space for those smaller dealers in towns that focus on bike sales, parts sales and service without having the lifestyle add ons where a dealer is required to have a themed showroom and racks of clothing and bling nobody buys. Some of these smaller dealers are now surviving by selling Lexmoto, Benelli etc due to poor decisions by bigger brands to go with Pidcocks, Completely and this group.
I think clothing and accessories is better as a separate business and that there remains a market for retail shops. Sportsbikeshop would not be expanding into Norwich and Infinity into Gloucester if this was not the case
It's truePopped into EDINBURGH kawasaki a while back, the Harvey dealer is next door so had a knee. The cheapest item I could see was a mug for £20 , t shirts at £80. Can't believe folk pay £30k for a motorbike.
It's true

Sons of Anarchy has a lot to answer too. Some good points here. I visited an “off site” Harley “apparel” store in Poland earlier this year. Seemed like a good idea. I think we can agree that Harley rely heavily on “lifestyle” to sell their bikes. They’ve drifted into it a bit too much, in my opinion. Smaller dealers with an actual passion for the product may reinvigorate a demand. A touch of the old outlaw/edgy image to sell bikes to those who dream about it…from a distance.
Jeez. I get paranoid leaving a 5k bike parked, if you enjoy it, that's all that counts. It's true

More like “Sons of Apathy” based on sales figures.Sons of Anarchy has a lot to answer too.

I think I saw the “Sanatogen Chapter” out on a ride to Loomies a few months ago.

Don’t blame me, Doc started it.
16 years yet it seems like only yesterday, a sure sign of getting old.
I think I saw three episodes of the first season.it blathered on through 7 series until 2014. Not even a shirtless Charlie Hunnam could make me watch it
