Southport Superbikes

When I wanted to buy the GS, I couldn't even get the sales guy to return my calls.

They'd serviced an F650GS in 2003 and I have had a couple of non-BMW bikes since.

So I bought from Blue Bell Crewe.

Happy so far.................

no calls

I recently bought a gs from southport superbikes and had to make all the calls involved in buying it,and it also seems like they don't have time for anyone. Am i the only one ??? ps they did let me try out a couple of bikes for a good few hours so i can't complain to much

southport supplied my ADV last year - i am riding down from scotland on monday to have the 6K service done - lets hope all the posts in favour of southport are warranted - the guys there do seem genuine

Didnt think they opened on Mondays? How did it go anyway?

Well guys what can I say about them I bought a mint R1150GS from them about 2months ago they couldn't be any nicer to me when I rode in my Blackbird in an extremely manky state after coming down from Glasgow in the snow. My purchase was done over the phone with them calling me all the time and sending many pics of the bike I was buying, everything was as descibed and probably better if the truth be known so I have only praise for them and they under cut Motorrad Central on the change over price even after my travel cost were taken in.

I have just bought an '00 1150GS from Southport Superbikes and am very pleased with their service. Its my first GS and I have to say its every bit as good as people say thet are! I havent stopped riding and grinning yet! :D I had part ex'd a '03 Triumph Sprint ST and they offered me nearly a grand more than another BMW main dealer had done a month before on a similar used GS that they had. I was impressed how the mechanic took time to go over the bike in detail with me before i rode it away. I'll certainly be using them again for servicing both for my GS and the wife's 650 GS

Overall its the most relaxed purchase I have had involving a bike and certainly didnt have any hassles that I've expericened in the past with other dealers.

SSB are a well known and profitable BMW franchise from whom I have bought and had serviced, a number of bikes. Their personnel are helpful, friendly and in my experience, competent

Roy Gardener has some twenty years experience in BMW service and management positions. He is a one man operation in a newish, compact, neat and efficient workshop. It is situated fifteen minutes from Southport and he happens to share the administration premises of a large market garden concern Immediately outside is a mobile coffee van serving some of the Northwest's best bacon butties

Roy welcomes his BMW and Kawasaki customers to be involved in their bike's servicing

This is a level of service and personal involvement that I suspect few franchises can afford. I have found that charges reflect his overheads

BTW, Roy will be running another Motorcycle Maintenance course at Southport Technical College (01704 392828) as from June 7th - Tuesday & Thursday evenings

A satisfied customer

Very pleased and quite impressed to see Roy is a sponsor of the site even on his first post :thumb
