SP 2610 Pricing

I`m not up with the current price of 2610s other than the list price is over a grand.

My copy of the Caravan club magazine states that Garmins European distributor (RoadPro) are selling them for £895 including free carry case. Only available through caravn & motorhome dealers.

Can someone tell me if I,m miss reading this info please, as it looks like you can get the 2610 for £450 plus a 512 meg cf card for £80 that makes £530! but I,m not seeing something am I ? Yes I know its in Canada but thats not insurmountable is it.

You'll probably get a bill from customs & excise inc vat & import duty. You may need a copy of world map, so you can view the screen at over 8k zoom level and if you don't have any previous mapping for the Garmin streetpilot series etc, and you'll also need an original disc set for european city navigator software. ver5 or 6 that will unlock with the serial number of the 2610 you intend to buy.

1 Might not either.
2 The posted reports regarding zoom levels seem to be correct.
3 CN V4 unlock and then putting CN V6 worked with no problems for me.
4 When I go to the states this year I'll have an autorouting GPS with CN USA on it.

I bought my SP3 over a year ago, so I don't get all upset at adding another GPS unlock code to the Mapsource.
