I want to connect the audio from an SP111 direct to my Autocom headset. I got the intercom system in 1999 so it is a bit different to what they sell now. I've seen the previous thread on this but my headset has a 7 pin DIN plug but with the two bottom pins missing; the output from the Pro 3000 intercom is only 5 pin DIN socket.

Has anyone done this or got any info on it so I can make a lead up with a 2.5mm jack at one end and a 5 or 7 pin socket at the other?

Regards,

Graham

Probably not. The pukka Autocom lead is loaded with the correct impedance for the SPIII and loops through the primary of a transformer. The secondary then feeds into the Autocom input.

Speak to Doug at Autocom. He'll sort you out a lead and lighten your wallet some.

Contact Autocom, technical. As Gregg says the lead needs the correct impedance, you can blow the SP3 audio curcuit if you get it wrong. And an expensive return to Garmin.

contact Dave at Rainbow BMW in Rotherham- they sell a purpose made lead just for this
