Have been wanting to try one of these for ages based on the great write ups they've been getting. Actually nearly bought one online £50 without seeing one in the flesh on the basis that for £50 new it was worth a punt.

Any how's I held off as I really want a Tour x or Shoei Hornet but just can't afford one at the moment.

I'm glad I did because I was surprised to find that my local dealer actually stock the Spada. First impressions on the shelf, lovely styling and good quality, in fact even for the shelf price of £89 it was still a very well made lid.

But...upon trying it on I knew straight away it wasn't for me. I had to go one size up and even then the fit just wasn't for me.

Ive bought AGV and Caberg previously and will confess that my later purchases of Arai and Shoei were based on nothing more than brand reputation and the fact I could actually afford to buy them.

So back to back the Spada can't compete for me. I'm happy to keep saving until I can afford a Tour X or Hornet.

But if you're in the market for an adventure helmet and have considered a Spada Sting, don't have any fears on build quality. It's well worth the money, but for me it came down to the fitting.

Hope this helps any potential buyers.:thumb2

Having had a fairly bouncy off wearing one of these I can sat that it did its job well. I was so impressed as a summer lid that I brought another and use for green laning. Wouldn't use for the winter as too cold but I will be in Namibia later this year and this will be the lid of choice....great value and currently on sale at M&P for £50.... Great service as well.

Only point I would make to the OP is that both the tour x and Spada fit my head shape so the Tour X may not work for you.
