I spent the last two weeks of July in the Pyrenees. Also there: Rudi with his Yam XT600R and Gunter on an 1100RT.

Needless to say, the RT didn't come and play off-road much. So we did a few on-road and a few off-road days.
But a picture says more than a thousand words.

This castle was at the top of the mountain. We went up to take a look but it opened at 11 and we were there around 10. The only way up is a pretty rough gravel road, so I don't think they are bothered with busloads of tourists up there.

These tracks are all over the place. The only minor downside was, that you often don't have much of a view through the trees. But the shade was more than welcome in the middle of summer!

A single river crossing. Most of the river beds were bone-dry!

We passed a cave in the mountains. Nice and cool in there!

This is a gravel road we took on one of the on-road days. Gunter did well on the RT, but after a few kilometers we had to turn back because it was getting rougher and steeper. So we took the "long way round" to the village on the other side of the mountain.

As you can see, there are other things to do at the Costa Brava besides getting a tan and drinking cerveza

The only thing I regret, is that it's all over :tears

Adiós!
