Hi
Used up most of the tiny tube of rubber cement from my puncture kit last week - I've still a couple of bungs left but I cannot locate any spare rubber glue - anyone know where I can another tube?

You shouldn't need any specific make, as they are all much the same.

Do a google search, ask at your local cycle shop, also look for an off road specialist.

You are very unlikely to find anything relating to fix it yourself at any car tyre shop but might be lucky at a motorcycle tyre specialist.

You might find a nice big tube at one of the more established motorfactors.

There's also M&P and Busters Accessories.

Thanks for the replies - I wasn't looking for any brand in particular - I've tried those shops suggested already but no-one seems to sell the cement separately - you have to buy the whole kit. With an average puncture using the standard Rema kit you use most of the cement on one puncture leaving a couple of spare bungs and not enough cement...
Anyone else?

Contact Slimbo by PM. He sells the puncture repair kits and I'm sure he said he could get the cement separately if needed. I bought one of his kits after seeing it in action at the Red Kite Rally. :bow

If you're stuck, PM me and I'll give you his mobile number. :thumb2

Try an agricultural dealer that sells quad bikes they usually keep all the gear to repair quad tyres inc plugs, glue or jipper as its known around here! or go and see a tyre fitter they always carry in their vans.
Jonh Deere dealers sell it labeled under the Vapormatic brand.
Good luck

Easy Peasy answer........................WOOLWORTHS!

Go to the shoe cleaning aisle - where you will find laces, shoe polish, brushes, and rubber stick on soles which come complete with rubber glue. Rubber glue has been around for ever, one of the more basic adhesives.

In fact rubber glue is available from all sorts of places (though possibly in this namby pamby day & age they have to sell it over the counter as some sort of controlled substance - not far from where I live there is a pharmacy next door to a gun shop.........when we first got here the pharmacist told us we need a prescription for Zovirax, a cold soar cream........but next door any monkey can go in a buy just about any sort of gun you can imagine!)........sorry, I slipped off topic there for a moment:blast
