Hi I hope I am not in any violation regarding this posting. I bought a 2005 gs1200 the bike was fitted with ohlins and I am now the owner of what looks like a pair of pretty good looking shockers. Are they of any value I have no idea what they are worth but would let them go to a good home for a reasonable ammount would like them picked though. Just unpacked them they are unused immaculate

Are they the BMW originals and the bike has the Ohlins fitted at the moment?

This must be a wind up but just in case -

Ohlins shocks are about as good as they get and seriously not low cost. If they are the correct length for your needs, Have them fitted and keep the BMW originals for when you sell the bike.

Bendy toy No windup the bike was owned by a real enthusiastic 75 year old who lavished every usefull add on. for an old bike it is immaculate the roadholding is superb my last tourer was a vstrom 1000 which bless it's heart was pretty bouncy in the road holding depth. I have only had this Bike two weeks now but had it out here in North Northumberland on some pretty awful road conditions it is superb the old guy certainly new how to set it up. I haven't touched the onlins setting. Oh will follow your advice and just keep the shockers to pass on. I just thought someone might need a reasonable set of unused ones. Going to give it a run up to Peterhead next week

Sorry I got it base over wotsit. I thought you wanted to flog the Ohlins!

Keep the bike for a while, then sell the original BMW units if it looks like a long term keeper. Revs Racing who import Wilbers say to get shocks serviced every 12K miles. So do check when the Ohlins were last serviced. I once ruined a good WP shock by using it until the damping packed up. It was professionally rebuilt but never the same again.

Sorry for the confusion and enjoy the bike.
