Spark plug .... damage ??

I just replaced my plugs and noticed both plugs had a slight brown 'stain' at the top of the core, almost as if it was burned. Is this ok or a sign of damage ?. 94 1100GS 60k miles and plugs have been in for 5k miles. Cheers

Seek out an older Haynes car manual. They used to have a black museum style series of pictures of sparkplugs along with an explanation of what illness affected the car according to the plug colour. AFAIKR a light brown tinge was perfect combustion but don't take my word for it!
