Hi all, anyone know the best place for buying plugs unfortunately I have,,,,
NGK MAR8B-JDS 🙄
So before I do the internet hunt for the cheapest, I thought I’d ask 😉
Cheers Baza 👍

NGK DCPR 8 EKC
are the plugs I've just put in my 2006 GSA
I actually picked these up at the Stafford auto jumble for £6.00 each.

Firstly, there have been rumours of fake NGK plugs at various times so buy them from a recognised supplier (franchised dealer or trusted independent) Secondly, iirc, Baza's bike is 2010 or thereabouts so the plugs for the earlier engine won't fit.

Too many fake ones around as Bear said.
The last ones I bought were from opie oils in one of their perpetual sales.
They were £43 inc vat for a set.
Hope that helps.

Cheers Bear, unfortunately your spot on with your second shot 😢😢
Thanks for your reply mate 👍

sparkplugs.co.uk seem to be the cheapest reputable seller. Four mar8b-jds are £50.92 delivered.

sorry for my post. As you didn't state what year your bike was I just posted up what I fitted to mine. Didn't mean to confuse.
At least I now know the later bikes have different plugs. 😁

And the plugs for mine are considerably cheaper. Go figure. 🙄😜

Eh bro don’t worry about confusing me, I confuse myself every day 😵‍💫😉

Halfords etc used to carry them in stock in the shop. I bought a few sets for the future so maybe they're not as popular anymore. Sorry.

Newcastle has them for collection so if you know any Geordies...

Final update on my new plugs, Pow what a difference it’s like a new bike, best thing I’ve bought so far, the response on the throttle is quite something else 👍👍
Anyway I went out for a blast yesterday and to say it was nippy was an understatement, so top tip of the day is remove your “Cool Covers” seat cover when the temperature drops 😵‍💫🤦‍♂️
Cheers Baza 👍

wot miles had they done ? - posh plugs last ages and hardly wear - so it sounds a bit strange - can you get us a photo of the electrode tips (side on)

service life on many cars with posh plugs is 60 or 100k miles - most will last twice the length of the rest of the crap they use to build vehicles with these days (unless you are doing 50k mile a year) - alchemy 4 years and nothing left of the vehicle and or little viable, with the current build processes - hence why you lease it 2 years and throw it away asap - with the manu offloading to the next mug to lose a mortgage over

I took my 12 year old 9k miles ones out when doing the valve clearances - and they looked like brand new

Hi botus, the bikes done 53k,no service history when i bought it,ive had it two years this month,it seemed

Cheers Baza

nice, your's are a bit worn...

have NGK got bought out ... whats with calling them Niterra - its bad enough NGK Cat sensors are called NTK Cat sensors

...Niterra has in over 60 years established itself as a heavily relied upon original equipment manufacturer
