I need a thin walled socket to remove the plugs on my K1100 LT the plugs have a 12mm thread and the hex is 18mm AF so what do you guys use and where from please as I can't find a single suitable socket via uk based tinterweb

There's two on that link, but, like St Eptoe, I use the one in the toolkit
Well I didn't inherit the toolkit otherwise I wouldn't have the problem and in an hour on the tinterweb it seems that a lot of peeps also had the same problem but many thanks for the link
