Amazon currently have the NGK R1200GS plug ( DCPR8EKC ) for £3.99 with free postage. It is advertised as Fiat Bravo 1.2 plugs.

But for the benefit of a newby to GS service - does the Mk2 (08 - 09) use four of the same plugs?

We (BMW) had a spate of petrol engine pistons being 'holed' for no apparent reason a while back. Turned out to be fake spark plugs causing the problem.

If you buy a cheap spark plug, you'll get just that......

I knows chap who owned a suzi bandit 600 from new. Clocked up 80k miles, never changed the plugs!

My Diversion 900 would start to complain after about 15K miles. Often the plugs looked ok but new ones solved any rough running or poor fuel consumption. No way would it have managed 25K on a set let alone 80K.

Got the NGK spark plugs from Amazon (the ones from the first post, Thought Amazon would be safer than E bay), and due to the paranoia I had after reading this thread I've spent the last hour on the Interweb checking to see if they’re genuine.

There are plenty of you tube and other sites with people telling how to spot the difference.

As far as I can make out they are 100% and I’m happy that I’m fitting genuine NGKs.
