Hi all I fitted a set of Czech 'BRISK' plugs to my 3yr old Adv recently theyre a multi point electrode and appear to be v good the 'kangeroo effect' at low revs has smoothed out and top end seems to have improved.I can only compare running NGK twins BKR7EKC-N for the last 3 years that never wear out.I dont know if these Czech plugs will just disintegrate after 1k miles has anyone used em.........?? Adjusted them.........?? :flush

cheers Paul,Meopham Kent

Brisk it wasn't !

Following much recomendation on here I fitted a pair of Brisk plugs to my '97 1100, after 60 miles it was almost unrideable, cutting out to one cylinder. Took the plugs out and swapped them over, same effect. Replaced with a pair NGK's from a Ford Fiesta (BCPR7E) and normal service was resumed.

I'm willing to accept that I had a duff plug, but they didn't do it for me !

Cheers Paul thanks for the link im gonna give em a go but carry a good NGK set in the bag..........regards

I recently fitted a pair to my 02 adventure, with a hope that it would reduce the surging.
The bike is a lot smoother now and it has improved the surge to almost nothing, but i dont think they are the 'silver bullet' that some people think.
I am sure the bike would have been better with any new plugs, but when every little bit helps to refine this lumpy old fart of an engine, it worth trying

Try some of Straypuss' EON2's - they're the best I've used yet. My experience has been, in order of goodness:

EON2's, followed closely by cheap 'n' cheerful
Champion RC9YC's
Brisks
and finally,
NGK's

I had fitted Brisks to my 02 1150 RT and was very happy with them for 40.000 km. However, I changed them at every service as I don't have any confidence in their longevity (in line with critical appraisals not only in this forum). But the machine went very very smoth with them. Eventually I exchanged them with platinum ones (Nippon Denso) which are at least as good and cost less.
