Specialized Stumpjumper Elite FSR mountain bike full suspension black with green size medium £300

Collection only from ST5 8RQ. Cash only please.

I bought this from here about 2 years ago but have barely used it, maybe half a dozen times for bimbles with the kids. However, I can use my hybrid for that, so this is just taking up space.

I can’t now find the old for sale ad but that may be me being dim.

It is in very good used condition and doesn’t look like it has ever had much if any hard use. It has many years of use left in it. It has scratches inevitably as per its age and intended use but nothing alarming. Some of the photos make the scratches look worse than they are (it was a very bright day). Viewings welcome with no obligation. There is some damage to the rear of the seat (see photo) but doesn't affect it when sitting on it.

I don’t remember seeing a size label on it when taking the photos but suspect it is a medium. I am 5’ 8” or 5’ 9” with a 30”/31” inside leg and it fits me fine although there is a lot of adjustment range.

I bought this on a bit of a whim. They seemed to be going for £450+ at the time on ebay and others were queuing up to buy it on here and it was nearbyish so I lashed the cash. However, it’s much more bike than I am ever likely to use, certainly while my kids are still youngish.

I was told when I bought it that it is a 2011 bike and cost ~£1500 new. It had ill-fitting sponge hand grips and the front brake was spongey when I bought it. I put new moulded grips which fit well (nothing fancy) and bled the front brake which now works fine. Everything works as it should. There is no paperwork with it.

I’m a bit clueless about pushbikes in terms of groupsets and mechs etc. I could probably work some of this out but those interested will probably get more info from the photos. Any questions, let me know. I've arguably gone a bit OTT with the photos but having taken them I might as well upload them - as a buyer I usually prefer too much info over not enough ...

I’m asking £300 which is the same as I paid for it as it is virtually the same apart from the couple of bits I did to the handgrips and front brake. If it doesn’t sell here I’ll put it on ebay for a good chunk more.

That's my old bike Ronnie. Cracking bike and you are correct, it has had an easy life. It is a medium size, and yes it was £1500 when new.
Shame you never got to ride it as it was intended. GLWTS.

Cheers Mr Bomb (Simon?). It's such a nice thing I'm tempted to keep it for very occasional 'proper' use but I have other more pressing uses for the space it's taking up, I don't presently have the skills to use it properly and also don't have the time to learn those skills. Apart from that ...

That's a shame really, I do remember you saying that you wouldn't be using it to it's full potential. Simon.

Hello is this still available
Apologies for the slow reply. I used it a couple of times over the summer when out with my bro on his leccy mountain bike, when I came a very distant 2nd. Although this made me ponder whether I should keep it for use a handful of times a year, I could really do with the space so yes, it is available.
