Specific Frame Diameter Question ??

Hi All,

Sorry for my first post to be an urgent question, but I am collecting a new R1200GS TE in Alpine White this Saturday. I use a kliktronic gear shift because of a disability and I need to know the diameter of this pipe. I did ask the dealer but they came back with 84mm……. Which ‘could’ be the circumference? Meaning its 27mm diameter?

If anyone could confirm it would be very appreciated and I will post in the new members section this evening!

Just held a ruler up against mine and I make it 25mm.

I just got the micrometer out and measured mine. That tube is oval - 26.68mm in the vertical plane and 25.68mm in the horizontal. No, I wouldn't be surprised if other people come up with different figures. Having mic'd several frames when the WC came out, there could be a considerable difference from bike to bike.
