My zumo 660 talks to me but the voice seems to struggle with pronunciation of
"Exit" sounds like "eggsit"
and other words sometimes seem to "overlap" each other...
some of her attempts at french town names and road names also made I larf!

Wonder if this is a sign of some software issues which may get worse...is it possible to download the voice file again, in case its become corrupted?

or do i just need to live with it....the american english pronunciation was much funnier might switch back to that:D

Yeah, noticed the 'eggsit' thing as well, it's normal, nothing to worry about.

Considering it's a synthesised voice reading text I think Emily does a pretty fine job. You're right, she doesn't know diddly S about Fench though. Maybe you should use the French voice when over the channel :nenau :D

nice to know "they all do that, chief";)

fernch voice would certainly get the words pronounced correctly.....all I would need then is a translator back into english:blast

I live in Montreal, Quebec, where most of the population is French-speaking, and most of street names and towns and villages are French. The way the «French» (from France) voice pronounces the names is unbearable. The poor «girl» thinks that, since this is North America, the names must be English. Add to that a terrible «English accent», and many times you have no idea what she's talking about. What you get is something like « dans quatre cent mètres tournez à droite sur @£€∞{}%$ ». Sometimes «she» will say things like «Dorchester boul.» (for «boulevard» of course) or even «Dorchester boul. O.» (for «boulevard ouest.»)

Have you ever tried using the Zumo in North Wales??

Machynlleth?

Dolgellau?

Abergynolwyn?

Llanegryn?

Hilarious :D

Mind you, some humans have trouble... :augie
