Can I just confirm the following bits I will need to change the nipples over on the 1150 GS. 2001 model. ABS fitted.

All round for brakes. Brembo front and rear. What size speed nipples. All of the brakes have rusty standard nipples.

The clutch? Is this an M10 x 1.0?

Many thanks for any help.

I have done lots of searching and am pretty sure I have got the right size for the clutch. Not been able to suss out which size I need for the Brembos.

Same size as the clutch.

What size speed nipples.

By the way, if I think I know what you're looking to buy then, you don't need to pay the extra for a bit of paint around a plated nipple.

I find stainless nipples with a couple of turns of PTFE tape on the thread works a treat, and the nipples last for years but you have to pay for them. ;)

It would appear thet the front nipples are larger than the rear nipples. Certainly the spanner size to get them off is 11mm at the front and 8mm at the back. I am awaiting more information from a dealer. I will post that here. So hopefully it will help someone in the future.

Yes the fronts are bigger on the brembo front calipers.

Try doing a search the size has been posted plenty of times - it maybe under clutch bleed nipple, which is the same size as the fronts brembos.

Or get stainless nipples from shaw stainless. They do a rear caliper nipple and holder.

Just a quick one.

Is there any requirement to remove calipers and press the pads out fully when bleeding brakes.

Or can thye be done in situ?
