A terrible act of vandalism.....

........And the irony will be that due to the attack, the authorities will have to put some sort of speed trap in place now otherwise the arson attack would have succeeded in its purpose. Glad either way that no one was torched to death.
I was rather hoping some Talivan Extremists were stuck inside.

The fact that the Van was Burnt , well "i applaud that" .
The Fact that there was a Man inside , well that just makes it lunacy .

I can see nothing wrong with torching Tallagh Van Extremists.

The Go Safe Extortium, is headed by Xavier McAuliffe, who fined several 1.000E & banned from flying for most of a decade.
His young passenger was killed in the crash.
The aircraft was not correctly maintained.
The aircraft's fuel tank contained water, the carburetor was corroded.
Admitted in Court charges of not having a permit, flying the helicopter without an airworthiness cert.
a show up in the Moriarty Tribunal was another chapter.
Great to see free enterprise in charge of our safety, instead of an ogre from
the EU health and safety Kommissariat.

I hear the Garda are undergoing extra riot training. This country of ours is a powder keg ready to ignite. The irish are generally a laid back sort of people, but when they have had enough and hit boiling point all hell usually breaks lose. Hope nobody gets killed.

I reckon it is all going to kick off at tomorrows ICTU march. I would say the unions were told not to march to the Dail and instead march to the GPO to try and limit the anger that is going to be vented. No doubt a couple of Shinners and Socialists will start the ball rolling and then do a runner.
So I for one will be staying clear of Dublins city centre tomorrow.

I do not agree with speed killing, I know the adverts all say we should run over children at 30mph, but I am a great believer in watching where I am going and perhaps not running them over at 40 is a better way

That is indeed true, been going on in a few centers for quite a while according to one of the lads in work who has a brother in the force, wonder if they will turn on the public if they demonstrate, they have taken quite a hit in wages and conditions of service in the past 12 months, the recent 4 year plan will see their wages slashed in no uncertain manner again while the elite rich get away relatively scott free
Must not forget the hammering several of the students protesting in Dublin got from a few of them recently
