Hi Guys,

Went out to my 2013 GSA this morning. Turned the ignition on and let it go through its usual start up routine, but noticed that both the speedo and rev counter didn't do a sweep round to max and back during all the standard noises it usually makes, before settling down to the 'Brake Failure' light flashing until the wheels have done a few turns.....

I've had the bike from new, am I just dreaming now that it always used to do that ? Or am I now getting confused with my XJR 1300 that always does a sweep round and back during ignition on self test?

Plugged the GS 911 in anyway, no error codes and all the tests on the clocks ran fine, including the dial tests, plus took the bike out for a quick run and all was was working well....... So can anyone enlighten me please? Am I dreaming or has something suddenly changed?

Cheers,

Roy....

Thanks for that Pukmeister, that's good to know. I've had the bike 11 trouble free years..... Go away on holiday for a week, come back and my mind suddenly starts playing tricks on me !!! :(

I have an older hexhead, no sweep (you can do it via OBD for fun).
I don’t remember “newest” hexheads doing the sweep?

Just ride the thing and stop worrying.
