Speedo and tachometer bulbs. R1100rt

Went to replace the tachometer instrument bulbs last week. Took the dash apart on my 1100rt and finally got to the bulbs.

These are T5 wedge Bulbs. The BMW number is 62142306127 which are supposed to be 1.7w. I called to my local bmw shop for a few bulbs with my number in hand.

I now find that the new bulbs are also only 1.2W, quite loose in the connectors and flicker on and off easily. They are loose and wobbly.

The base on the bulbs seems to be smaller and narrower than the original.

Any advice on a replacement ......don't want to have to take the dash out again.

I tried LEDs and they were also loose, I then paid a little more for some like these and they have been fine, much tighter fitting!

These are the ones I put in the R1100R. Fiddly to fit but seem to stay in ok.
Also from eBay.
The ones above certainly look better though!
