Ive got about 10K from the replacement speedo sensor and it's acting up. Should have bought new.

However, today the speed was flickering before the warning light came on. I'd not been out long enough for heat soak to affect the sensor chip, so maybe it's a wiring issue. Time to break out the soldering iron and wire cutters.

What about the large hammer ??

It is always helpful in frightening the gremlins.

It couldn't make it any worse.

It just might be a wonky wire so next job is to splice a new wire onto the sensor and end plug. When that fails (its only a little of my time) I'll get a new sensor. I just resent the ridiculous price when they could have used a car ABS sensor (same technology) for 1/5 of the cost.

And I posted it on here D'Oh.

I'm now getting about a mile then then speedo flickers and the warning light comes on. It's probably not counting properly so the ABS picks up the speed difference.
