Some of our older readers might recall turning up to a couple of New Year(ish) meets here that I organised. Only to find it closed.

Well, I dont think it'll be opening again anytime soon

Stopped trading a few weeks ago....fire started in early hours....going well by the time the firies got there. I expect the insurance company will look very hard at the claim!!

Place had gone right downhill in the last year or so.

Happy memories when the children were young staying there. The way of many older hotels in Scotland. Sad.

Yep!...A shame....Stayed there 2/3 years ago. Basic lodgings, good bar, fireplace with a raging fire , which seems ironic, but the food left a lot to be desired.

I used to stay there sometimes. Saw it degenerate in the last few years.
