I have a Lap top with a split drive.
Data (E) is empty, but Vista (C) is red and full.
Can I? How do I move stuff around to balance it out. Seems a waste as nothing goes on the Data drive?
Thanks in advance
Nige

It seems, for some reason that everything is connected to C drive. As when I try to play a video for example, it says can’t find file :-(
Thanks :thumb2

All your data ( my documents and the like) can be moved to the other drive. When you cant play the video I bet you its a short cut your clicking? These of course wont work any more, you will have to click the file direct. Other option is you increase the partition size on the C drive into the D. Saving your files in a different place to the C drive is a better idea though. You can also redirect your my documents to the D so it never happens again http://www.edbott.com/weblog/2006/06/windows-vista-tip-4-move-your-data-folders-to-a-separate-drive/
