Spoked wheels on 1250 Rallye

Agree, but equally I'd be very surprised if they haven't found another component to shave a few cents from on the 1250..

Looked at the gold wheels on the 850 at the weekend. The spoke design was more or less the same design as the 2017 Rallye. So my guess is if the same wheels go onto the 1250 ( wider rims obviously ) then they will be The same company making them as they are now

Interestingly(?) on the BMW website https://www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/en/models/adventure/r1250gs.html#/section-model-variants it is showing the new R1250GS Rallye as having "Cross Spoke Wheels - Black", not gold so will have to wait and see what arrives at the dealerships.

But maybe no change of supplier as they also produce the spoked wheels for the R9T range and more than likely the 850 GS (although I haven't checked those rims)

It’s highly unlikely, but I’ll have a go one one. It’ll be interesting to see what the dealer says about the wheels at the weekend.

They should do. If I get the “what spoke issue” response, that’ll seal the deal on not buying another GS.

Agree Paul but again spokes loose on new bike, 30 months ago, wonder if it will come to light it was not just the GS

Depends who the supplier was then ?

Also, they are conventional spoked wheels on the R Nine T rather than the cross spokes on the Urban & GS
