Spoked wheels on 1250 Rallye

But do we know when GLM started making wheels for BMW ?

I would think that it came with the changeover to the WC range
Possibly air cooled 1200 range was still Behr (someone with a late 2012 1200 could have a look at rims for the maker's name)
Info is all there if somebody wants to check
Behr are German

There's got to be more to it than that as all the reported issues appear to have been with later (2018) GS's

My 2016 LC spokes are perfect

The later Euro 4 r 9 t wheels are different, the new design doesn't have raised spoke seats pressed in the rim, looks machined from solid

Mooted last week by a BMW techie that the spoked wheels on a 2014 gsa are exactly the same as those on a 2018 gsa but the early ones do not have similar issues and perhaps the reason is that the new in 2014 tooling and machines used to produce the wheels and build them up is now suffering from wear and tear and is outside tolerances ?

Now that sounds like a very logical reason, the best I have heard yet..........:bow:bow

My mid 2017 GS has just had a lose spoke on the front wheel tightened, so its not only 2018 bikes.

Just come back from trip in Spain and Portugal a brand new 1200gs ridden down from Scotland after first service ferry to Santander then second week of trip Back wheel starts oscillating luckily this was spotted by back marker inspection of wheel showed six spokes missing. Bike recovered by motorad Madrid owner awaiting response from BMW. He cancelled holiday went with bike to Madrid and flew back to Scotland bmw first offer was you will have to wait 10 days for new wheel, you can imagine his response to that and he has rejected bike
