Spoked Wheels on a non-Adv R1200GS LC???

Hi,

Has anyone here replaced their alloy wheels with spoked ones?

Are they a straight swap? Obviously,
I know I'd have to move my tyre pressure sensors to the new wheels.

My bike is an early 2013 non-Adventure LC

Yes u can.
Bustard to clean imho.
Had my alloys powder coated, smooth and takes 30 secs to wipe over.

Yes you can but the bolts are a different length so you have to change them too.

I have actually swopped spoke to cast - 2016 bike - straight swap no messing.

Would I select spokes moving forward? Not by choice, (my personal choice)

And the gold rims are just hideous in my opinion but then again what i think is irrelevant.

Me too. I have a late 1200 it my spoke wheels are off a 1250 GSA. No problems

My last bike (2012 twin cam) had spokes, paint lifting all around the hubs, difficult to clean/ keep clean. Chose a bike with alloys this time (2021 R1250GS). Quick wipe with a damp microfibre cloth. I like the look of the spokes but they always looked dirty.

I’ve changed from the original spoked wheels on my 2013 to some that came of a 2020 bike. Not a lot of hassle to change but the spacer on the front was a different size. Correct size one was bought from moto works for about £5 from memory.
