I have aquired set of spoked wheels for my GS - when fitting them is there any difference. IE - are the rear bolts the same, is the front spindle / spacer the same or do I need new ones.

Thanks

Rob

The front spacers are the same both sides. I've always reused the rear wheel retaining bolts and my bike has had three new rear tyres in 26000 miles

I wish I could "aquire" some instead of handing a wad of cash to my friendly BMW retailer, nudge nudge wink wink:augie:augie:augie:augie

The rear bolts are a different length for alloy and spoked wheels.

The spoked wheel threads are longer because the hub is deeper.

Use the shorter bolts for the alloys at your peril.

Thanks for the replies - I'll get a set of bolts.

Got the wheels from a breaker - almost new condition - £700. MT Motorcycles in Doncaster
