I have added spoke wheels to my 1200wc just because I like the look of them.but I have never owned a gs before is there any difference in the feel compared to cast on the current bike:flag

You'll find the turn in on corners a bit slower as the alloys are lighter than spoked. I went the other way with my 12GSA and thought it was an improvement.
(Presuming weights of WC wheels same as TC)

Yes the spokes feel very smooth because they are chrome and the cast ones feel slightly rough because they are cast...

What! I'm only trying to help

The wire wheels are heavier than the cast ones with everything that implies in terms of acceleration, braking and handling. I've had both and the spokes are a bugger to keep clean.

Whauraboots in the Kingdom - Ah cannae mind if ye said....? :)

You could always remove a few spokes, get the best of both, lighter and still looking good!!

Sorry - what was that you said...? I remember having to ask the bus driver at The Giant's Causeway to repeat himself. He then said "I thought you guys were like us...."

So did I but I couldn't understand a bloody word he said.....apart from that bit. :blast

Look good
Hard to clean
Corrode easily around the spoke holes in the rim
Buckle too easily, (never off roaded i think it was a puncture)

I have had 7 GS's all with spokes, none have corroded, non have buckled, they are a piece of piss to clean, when you get use to them, and they have less effect on handling than the difference between an 11stone and 16 Stone rider, after all its not a bloody Fireblade. They also look the dogs bollocks, it is after all an adventure bike, and from my experience they do add value when selling.:beerjug:

Spot on :thumb2

Just had the one mind :blast

BTW How have you had 7??????

7 gs's

Actually two 1150.s an 04.06.08.10 and 61 plate 1200's I think that makes 7. On average done around 24 K on each ridden all year round. And yes no corrosion on wheels, perhaps it's because they turned so much due to usage. rather than being sat in a garage ?
