Well i'm on a roll here, so i thought i would see if anyone would be interested in chipping in for a new tea urn link
I thought the 9litre would be just right.Any thoughts?
I did personally pay out £100 for a vern made urn but due to the excess wind on the site it wasnt that great hence the need for a new mega kettle.
Anyone fancy chipping in?
heres hoping..:D

Feck me

Just had another anonymous £8 roll in.

And Buellzebub slung £4 in the pot, rock and roll, £12 got so far...

Anyone else..

were halfway there.
I also need a couple of calor gas bottles either red or blue, pref 7 or 6 kg size, ive got the offer of a 4.5 but i wonder will that deliver enough gas for all four burners, looking on the calor site, i dont think it will.
Anyway heres hoping.Paul

I'll get my remaining euro's & kuna changed soon, so whatever that comes to, I'll throw a £10 in to help, in the spirit of the parish love ness....:D

I don't actually read or listen to most of what he says but simply stitch together the pertinant words & phrases. :augie

Anyway, I would buy you one of those for the remainder of the previous unit but is it big enough?

good question they come in several sizes but obviously the bigger the size, the longer and more gas to boil.

A larger water heater is required if we are going to use its output for both washing-up and providing brew-making etc, at the same time. A litre of water will possibley fill the washing-up bowl to 1cm's depth only.
There's no point in refilling a smaller device more frequently, and then heating the water, than having something which provides more capacity when it's required.

If everybody on last weekend's camp used a 9L urn for a brew in the morning it would be empty in no time at all, and that's not just for hot drinking water.
Having something of suitable capacity to provide for the overdue attendance will be worth the expense in the long run.

The cost of gas and cylinders needs to be factored into the charges for weekend camping and has to be paid for. If we can provide some relief to basic camping Tossers then so be it but, don't try too hard and keep it it simple...the camp fire really works. :thumb

Well done NeillDD

Well done to Neil who has sent us a super duper 9lt super kettle with TAP.:D
Neil kept it kept quiet and sent it as a surprise present.
I'm glad we got the 9lt though, it takes ages to boil,(around 25mins on the cooker indoors) i think the bigger units would have been too big.
Also when washing up,you would put cold in with the hot anyways.
So all in all a good call.
Also ive managed to procure a pair of 7kg calor blue bottles.
So i'll have to order 2 regs and a tee piece and some hose and were cooking on gas.
The cookers have turned up today,(splendid), one is duff, so i'm sorting that out at the mo.
I',m also on the scout for some decent fold up tables now like these ones linky.
so fear not , those peeps who have pledged cash will be buying some decent tables now instead.
There are loads of different ones on evil bay, different prices and qualities.
Also i will have to put a plywood liner under the burners afore we end up with a melted plastic mess with the heat.
So Thanks again all who are chipping in
Here is the urn(similar picture, ours has a nicer tap)
