`Sports` GS fairing - what do we think fella`s?

If you're in a redesigning mind how about having a crack at those awful plastic silver bits hiding the radiators? I'm not a fan of the triple black but if anything needed to be changed on the GS...
Also well done on the radiator guards - bought a pair a while back and they're top drawer :)

Bike needs a few tweaks like so

Hi fella thanks for the kind words :bounce1 dunno what you mean but if you can post a photo or `owt like that I`d be pleased to help if I can :thumb2

The problem i always had with the OE screen was turbulence ! bigger screens get in my eye line and didn't like them so i think a smaller screen would have been better.

I agree on the weather protection bit but when it is raining you will get wet its just a question of degree !

On the XR i always keep the screen in its low position as that is where it is least turbulent

Ah so you have an XR? I have a test ride booked next week. Anyhooo - do you think that a `sportier` screen is more in keeping with the `sportier` XR?
- And I take your point about turbulence the bigger the screen sometimes the bigger the problems!

You'll enjoy the XR, Mark.:thumb:D

The very last thing to worry about on the XR is the screen mate !
Its good to have the "wind" it reminds you of just how bloody fast you are going !!

As for the GS i like the small screen look but black would be better

When are you doing some bits for the XR

Yeah on the screen and I guess once I get an XR - but the parts won`t be as robust as they are for the GS fella, different beast IMHO

So, have you ordered one? Let us know when you've got some parts ready for it.:thumb

Oh I agree on the differnt beast but little things like dtainless heel gurds and the like would be good

One thought is that IMHO the GS is such a weapon in the right hands that it can see off much `fast plastic`

ohhh no, not another delusional GSer ..... try getting rid of your 'chicken strips' and people will not think you are talking shite

Actually see post 23. They look much better in black!

I think it looks good in black but not so much in grey, it's more of a concern your bike is called Carrie though and you put stickers on it to this effect ? :D

I`m sure I will Nuts, thank you, I must say that the GSLC remains a phenomenal weapon. being able to ride the GS and GSA back to back the GS still blows me away with the power and handling and I expect the XR wil be even better. having had an S1000RR 200BHP version to fekk around on for a week (Oh, I also made some parts for it :) the engine is tremendous.

Yes I agree fella and I don`t think that would be too daft but for sure my philosophy will be `keeping weight down` so aluminium nicely Tig welded might be respectful to the sporty nature of the bike whilst leaving durability and robustness for the GS in my humble opinion.

Ha, I name my bikes after my daughters - that way the inheritance is a lot easier when I go to the Vineyard in the Sky :D
