Depends which cable you buy. I have mine wired into the bike.

Think I'm going to chuck the QL stuff out, I'm fed up with trying to put the phone on the mount properly. I have a USB C by my TFT display so I can just plug it into that

Yep, that's the plan. I also have the quad lock charger I've just installed onto the bike

I don’t have a problem with Quadlock tbh. Also Peak Design don’t make a case for my phone.

Quadlock also make more various mounts for cars, I use the air vent Quadlock attachment in the car which is very handy, and the Quadlock charging mount on the bike.
