I am fitting the spotlights ,they are the touratech ones which came off my 1150gsa,to my new 1200gs mu which comes on tuesday:JB.
I took the wiring off complete so there is just the live, earth and second wire from the switch to wire up.
All the wiring is into and via a relay after which there is an in line fuse before the live is wired to the battery.
I don't know any thing about canbus system's or if it makes any difference to how things are wired up.
There is a neutral wire from the switch into the relay, what i need to know is were is the second wire from the switch connected to.

Thanks Steve.

Maybe the +ve feed to the sidelight, so you can't have the spots on with no other lights?

I'm guessing it will have been connected to a switched live on your bike to act as a trigger for the relay but to confirm what number pole is it on the relay?

Hi Thunder,
It goes like this,in and out of the relay,

30 Live RED out to the lights.

85 Neutral BLUE out to the lights
85 Earth BROWN also out of 85

86 Neutral BLUE from switch

87 Live RED in from battery via a fuse.

There is also a yellow lead coming from the switch which is the one i do not know were to connect.

Thanks Steve.

OK

Seems like the assumptions so far are correct, the wire 86 running to the switch should run on to a switched live on the bike to trigger the relay when the bike is running. :thumb
