Just what I need for my white R100GS tank![]()

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()

I'm on it btw I don't care as over 90% of the genuine signed tanks are known and documented.
Apparently first dozen or so were signed and not laquered over
so if it's worn it's liable to be one of those![]()
Proff, where did you pick this up from........Are these documented by frame number
On mine the original signature was worn but when I had the tank refurbed, (it was not in great condition), I had the decals "painted in", plus the signature and then the whole tank was laquered over.
I thought that there was no record of R80 G/S Paris Dakar Bikes and that the frame number were just part of the normal sequence.
Maybe it would be a good idea to post the frame numbers on here to see if there is any logic to them
My frame number is 6287309 and the Bike was first registered on 12 Aug 1986
The Bike was produced in QTR 1 of 1986
If you win it a mate of mine can copy it and produce new sets... ;-)
Only the very first ones are presumed genuine, signed in 1984 after Gaston won the 1984 PD on 101...[ maybe as little as 100]
1985 on it's a lottery, so many fakes around![]()

Just a thought but rather than bidding against each other so to speak would it be better tolet one trustworthy individual bid and take the duplication of the item should it be won?
I've a bid in already BTW![]()

Not to worry if it's a fake... When I return next year I will be happy to sign tanks for a small donation

Hi guys, I'm 'the guy in NZ who usedter do them', only difference is that I DO still do them, as well as a nice TSO 'Paris Dakar' knock off, all in any size or colour too, yellow Rahiers look great on Bumblbeemers, silver look good on 'Classics', etc ~ well they're none of them original now so who cares. . .fwiw I've seen recent pics of Gaston still turning up at events with his textacolour to sign whatever is put in front of him . .. that 'Rahier' in the auction looks like one of mine, the coloured stripe things are very likely NOS which I'm told are still available as oem spares, & missing are the 'Paris Dakar' black block letters, & the black rectangles, & the rubber pads too, so I hope nobody pays a big price. Anyone wanting 'Rahiers' can PM me, or find their way to me as ever via Jean Moxhets GS site. Best wishes to yez all, BrooC DownUnder ;-))
