There's irony - at one point I was going to ring and ask what you thought of the bike!
A variety of reasons why my limit was exceeded quite quickly, some personal and some down to circumstances of the sale. The latter included the lack of V5 and better info about condition of the bike and how/why it was parked up. Pics not very useful so viewing would have been the best option - but not possible. The seller - aka 'the bike butcher' - was not very forthcoming. The upsides were that the mileage was likely very low and rust / damage (probably) only superficial. Also, for me at least, the missing bits would have been irrelevant. All in all, worth a punt. I was hoping for £1500, might have gone a bit more (as you do...) but I think it was £1625 just before the last minute flurry so didn't get involved - especially as I suspected it might go higher...
