Riding the harley to get an mot earlier in the week i noticed my add on battery/alternator warning light was on red, with the occasional green flash (( my harley doesn't have a alternator/ignition light, you're just left to guess what's happening with the electric system, so i've added a small warning diode that alerts me to any problems) .
Anyway, with le hog coming up i thought this is going to be a pain in the arse, so i set about checking it (my bike, not my arse) yesterday.
With thoughts of a new alternator or rectifier having to be bought and fitted in my ever reducing spare time available before departure it was a pleasant surprise to find the small plug that connects the rectifier wiring to the loom was not fully home.
So, less than two minutes from start of job to finish and not a penny spent. That doesn't happen very often
