I have seen an R100S done like this (owned by a guy in Scotland) who bought it from Charles Newall. I think it was up for sale when I saw it last in Spain. Quite a loud bike due to played-with silencers.Ha,eagle eyed![]()
Certainly is!

I could have been wrong on the S - the RT jogged my memory. Confirmed with a mutual friend, it was Charles' bike and the rest of the story as above. Awesome bike. This one started life as an RT
Got 1070 kit,dellortos etc etc
Yo Jim, good to hear from you! UBNxxxT the Motorsport; I remember. JC and KS are legends. I rode my RS to Colombres last year, all the way down from Poole/Cherbourg and back. Once your RS is sorted maybe that is a future adventure?Hello again Tim. I’m the guy from Scotland and the played about silencers are in fact Jim Cray designed absorption type 40mm silencers made by Keihans. The bike was never up for sale and I did indeed buy it from Charles. He did a fantastic job having the bike built and it has numerous modifications made by him,Jim Cray and Keith Shaw. We did discuss this at the Colombres rally and if you look at the photo of the bikes again you will also see your old RS
Motorsport which has been renovated and is now also getting some Siebenrock treatment. Best regards, Jim.![]()

I’ll be at Colombres this year…Hi Tim, the R/S has already done 2 piston rally’s and a couple of trips to northern Italy. It had a good amount of work done to it by Mikey boy and this is just the latest improvement. Maybe see you at one of the Spanish rally’s?.
