2003 gs 1150 dual spark abs and integrated brake.....28k+ kms on the odo....
i noticed the problem(?) about two weeks ago....when i press the clutch lever i could hear a faint sort of squeaking noise in the middle of the bike where the clutch is.......i rode for a few kilometers and another disturbing sound occassionally pop up.....i called a bmw mechanic and he said that it was the release bearing....yesterday the bike was dismantled to check the clutch area...the lining is 6.3 mm thick....the push rod end ( the one that is not inside the clutch slave cylinder have a bit or mark...and some scratch mark where in the clutch housing........and i was told that it just need some lubrication....tonight the bike was reassembled, now the clutch engages about 1 to 2 cm when the lever is released (which is not like before), when i test drive it for a few kilometers the noise was gone(its about midnight).....then i test rode it again and the noise reappeared.....by the way the slave cylinder was replaced......can anyone help me with the problem.....i dont have any idea what is causing the noise...........
