SS Overnighter in a Youth Hostel

planned a week around scotland - one sya (new lanark) and rest via blue hostel guide which includeds Sleeprzzz at rogart and similar at Glenfinnan all cheap and interesting - total hire out deals avialable

I'm no' forgettin' aboot this.

I'll try and stir up some interest and then book a hostel (probably Tomintoul if poss) once we get back fae the Germany trip.

Maybe a Saturday night in mid October...:thumb2
 
Do they operate a curfew at night?

We stayed at the Fort Bill YH and were told to be on our best behaviour cos we got in late (it was GC's fault) AND Jamie was sick in the loos:blast

I would hope that if you have the whole hostel to yersels, then they'd be OK about curfews and stuff :nenau

stayed in Tomintoul when just it reopened from being the village school, brand new.
It's bril .
Has an outside widden shed with dehumidifiers to dry the claes and adequate proper tarmac parking. :thumb
 
Saturday 11th October

Saturday 11.10.08. Who a' fancies this then? Tomintoul for one night. There's 20 beds that need filled but as I'm no' a SYHA member (yet) I cannae find oot if it's available for this date.

Could Scotboxer or arcboutant maybe dae the needful or find oot if there's a similarly sized hostel in a relatively easy to get tae spot for maist folk. I can book it once I ken availability etc.

The date's no' in stone yet, Gordon. It'll depend if we can get the hostel booked.

We might still be unlucky enough tae hae tae listen tae a drunk G.C. grindin' his teeth a' night :thumb

May be away in darkest Africa that weekend............but if not, count me in:beerjug:
Will see what weekend you get in the end and if I'm around (or maybe "we", not "me". I'll ask her :beerjug:)

I wasn't me, i went for a dump and had to wipe my arse on your socks as the loo had no paper :(
