Following last night's chat, I made some enquiries about a Xmas party event for us

I went through a range of dates in December (and late November) and the limitation was that at best, they only had 4-6 rooms available.

The best date for maximum available occupancy was Saturday, 19th December 2009.

I contacted the Bridge of Cally hotel, from past experience, it's been a good location and reasonably accessible for most and they could put the following one night deal together for us:

17 rooms:

14 can be double or twin (shared or unshared)

3 are fixed doubles (I believe I have names for these already....:augie)

I was offered the following B&B rate:

3 course Xmas themed dinner on the Saturday night (plus tea and coffee) all rooms B&B (ensuite rooms). We can have some influence over the Xmas dinner options as well

Price:

£55 per person shared

Single occupancy £60 per person

What say the collective? Is this date good? Is the price ok?

If we are broadly happy I will firm up the booking but will need you to register your intent on this thread (please also say if you would be willing to share). That intent will translate into a booking at the hotel....cash up front if we go ahead so to speak.....:thumb

ALL ARE WELCOME....!!

By way of an update; all of the SS are very welcome....:beerjug:

If you haven't had the chance to meet folks, here it is, it'll be a short window to get to know people though, I suspect some of them will jaeger-bombed by 10 o'clock....:D

If your from the other regions of UKGSer land, you're also very welcome but hope that you will indulge us a little in letting the folks a little closer to home get a bit of a priority....:oonyack

so what are you waiting for, get your name in the book......:rob

Yes please double / twin for Mrs bhud and myself.

Thanks for the mail Garfield

Obviously I will not be drinking as I should be in optimum condition for January 8th!!!!

Aye, put us down for a double room please, sounds like a good plan

And I wasn't on holiday, that's shortly, was in Gabon working (and throwing a few cold ones down the neck to support local bewers )

Do we have to drink that Jegerchuck stuff? :augie

As for jaeger, good luck, I suspect we may need an old priest and a young priest on the sunday morning.....:D

Too early for me to say either way. Obviously the Sat before Crimbo is very busy for me - if I'm still taxi-ing. But I'll have a clearer picture of what I'm doing with myself later in the year.
So I'll have to be a 'maybe' for now and hope there's space if I can get in later.
