I attempted and completed the Iron Butts associations SS1000 yesterday along side another lad from the XRV owner club.
We covered appropriately 1100 miles in a figure 8 around Ireland. (hope its enough to get certified)
From start point to finish point it took us 23 hrs 54 minutes and due to the time slipping from us we missed out on Wexford and had to head straight to Dublin from Waterford.
In all we had 20 log sheet stops and one break of only 30 minute. The rain mostly held off (the odd light shower) until 22:00 last night as we entered Galway for the second time when it started to bucket down and that was us then for most of the remaining 8hours with the odd break. All I can say is high beem 3D rain sucks. But on a Good note every bit of my bike gear held out. Delighted.
I don't hate the bike after the trip so thats a good thing too.
