I have just won a very nice 19 ltr tank on ebay,apparently from an ST/GS.i am fitting it to my project bike ,It started life as an RT so i assume that the tank rubbers are different.Does anybody have any photos of the ST mounting rubbers and what the clip at the rear of the tank attaches to,plus there is a captive nut underneath the tank on the non tap side of the tank,what fits to it.

ok I have a 19 l tank on mine it gust has ruber stripes which you need to glue on to the tank taperd in stead of a pad and you will need a longer strap for fixing its basicaly a basic tank what you have I would be interest to no what you payed and the condition !!!! I have a new lid for one siting in the garage !!!! thous tanks go licke gold dust in germany

on my St, at the front there is a rubber cross piece , and the clip at the back it just clips under the frame top tube
depending what year of your original bike you may struggle with the tank actually fitting on over coils and lugs for relays and stuff

The tank is in as new condition with a dream machine paint job in BMW motorsport colours,i paid £241.00 which I thought was pretty good

I agree with Colt, sunken filler = ST tank, and a very pretty one at that

Don't know what that captive nut is for. I cut the little bracket off when I sprayed my ST tank.

The ST tank has only one tap,so how does the petrol get from the non tap side to the tap side when there is no balance pipe.

Plus a slightly lower tunnel, same a a g/s mono, which also has only one tap
.
The petrol is launched to the rear of the tank as you struggle to cope with the power being put down on the tarmac
