hi all, i am new to the GS community. i have bought a 2011 r1200gs and absolutely love it. i have now started buying accessories for it. i bought a set of stahlkoffer panniers off ebay. it came with the back plate and pannier frames. there are a couple of screws missing which i'm told i cam replace but all the main bits are there. it is the 33/35 litre ones. i was wondering if anyone had a copy of the instructions on how to fir it to the bike please. many thanks for your help

The 33L goes on the left. Use stainless steel fasteners. Offer the frames up to the bike and your plan should reveal itself. :thumb

Otherwise talk to Bernie. He made them.

thank you for your quick response. i have now got delivery of my panniers and i can make out where they go but there are too many nuts and bolts supplied for me to make a guess as to where they go.. i will give bernie a call i think..if anyone else can help i am grateful

 It doesn't sound like Bernie, giving too much stuff away. :D

Offer the frames up to the bike and see which threaded, or through, holes match your frames and have a go at fitting them, one side at a time. Then use the rear brace, behind the number plate, to hold them together.

Now drop your boxes onto the frame and fasten them into place with the rod and locks. You may have the perceived extra fasteners for the bottom of the boxes for when you go offroading. :D

Take some pictures and post them here and I'm sure you'll get some help, and ridicule. :blast

I emailed Bernie and he was most helpful..I am going to give his friend who lives nearby, a ring to ask if i Can come and have a look at his bike and the way it's fitted.. I will then (fingers crossed) have it all sorted out.
